My Chidhood Dream

I can't remember at what age i began to look up and wonder about the celestial bodies. But i remember myself as a little child gazing and wishing upon the stars that someday i might get close to them. I want to be an astronaut. But I am just a poor boy. We struggle to get food and other necessities then. As years go by, i start to accept the fact that maybe ill get old without realizing that dream. But now, I saw Apollo Axe Advertisement with a prize to travel in suborbital craft. My Heart Jumped with joy. My chance of winning is very tiny but this is a shot to my dream. I really wanted to win. Today is a very special day. We have gathered as one family to accompany our very first ever missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. Elder Simbulan will be preaching the gospel at the Cagayan De Oro for the two best years of his life. He personally experienced the love and miracles of God in his life. He has a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He entered the MTC around 8:05am. We are here to support him. We will miss him but he will be back very soon.

Man's Best Frie...Food?

This morning, i decided to take a walk on my way to public market. I can see people very busy preparing for the Christmas eve. One particular scene caught my attention and sent chills over my whole body. A skinned dog, on a pole, maybe a "lechong aso". I felt so bad. It reminded me of a bastard riverside family who tried to capture my dog Balto for their dinner somewhere in 1997. I lost two dogs in the past, i fear they ended up similar to this one. Some people really has a culture of eating dogs. Not me, i love them. Whenever i see well cared dogs, they infiltrate my heart, not my stomach. :(
